Casey Key Real Estate
Overlooking Sarasota Bay to the east and the Gulf of Mexico to the west, Casey Key offers visitors spectacular water views from two sides. Two bridges connect Casey Key to the mainland. The Blackburn Point Bridge to the north is the only surviving swing bridge in Florida. Casey Key Road winds scenically south, surrounded by subtropical vegetation. Many celebrities have settled here, the most famous of whom is probably the novelist Stephen King, who spends the winter here in his beach villa. You won't find a home taller than three stories or any major hotel or condominium complex on Casey Key. At the southern bridge, Albee Road, there are a number of small, charming guesthouses on Nokomis Beach. Quaint pubs on the intracoastal, a marina with boat rentals, miles of uncrowded shell beaches, that's Nokomis Beach. The "Drumcircle" that takes place on Saturdays and Wednesdays has become an attraction. Drumming and dancing people celebrate life and the fantastic sunsets. At the end of Casey Key is North Jetty Park, a wonderful place for spotting pelicans, fishing and sightings of dolphins and manatees are common.
